Is sales bad? Why do people always link sales with a bad annotation?
"Never study thats why do sales"
"No qualification thats why can only do sales"
"Only know how to talk thats why do sales"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHA.
That is a complete joke.
I am superbly proud that I have been doing sales for the longest time ever. And everytime I do sales, it always made me learn so much more. Who says it is only for people without qualifications?
I love sales, because of the psychology game. How you are able to entice the buyer to purchase your product; How you are able to catch his weakness, target it, attack it with full-force, and you know that half the deal is done; How you are able to read the buyer's mind and also play mind games with him/her.
These are the interesting aspects of sales that really excites me. It is not only a simple transaction of goods and cash. It is a mind game. The more you do it, the better you are at it.
It has helped me with so many aspects of my life, and i never believe in learning NOTHING in a job. It is how you approach the job, and how open you are to learning, even if it means cleaning the cupboard or washing the cups.
Start from scratch, understand the difficulties, and make it better.

University
Currently in the midst of preparing for Finals, fast approaching in 3 weeks times.
These 2 weeks are my hell week, with 3 Written Reports to submit, 3 Presentations on-going, and 3 Tests.
Well, I think that I have better manage my stress level compared to Year 1.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I recall exactly one year ago, how I was constantly worried about grades. How I was constantly worried that one bad test would affect my future. How one day of unproductivity work add onto the compiling workload. Yet, I managed to pass the first semester with results better than expected.
Come Semester 2, I think I have given myself too much lax. It was in a way, self-consoling that I shouldn't place so much pressure on myself. Maybe I really didn't. It caused my grades to landslide. Yet, whenever I thought I was the only guy deep in the sinkhole, I realise that there are many people who are in the same situation as me.
Many of us are still struggling to find out how University works.
Personally, I feel that University is an amazing place to observe how people work.
Many a times I wonder, why is this guy able to join a school committee with a high post, participate in 3 hall activities, give tuition weekly, and yet continue achieving good grades? I am always constantly looking Up. I think this is the reason why so many people are constantly pressurized and stressed out in the society.
We are constantly comparing ourselves with people who are better. However, we take little time to look Down. How many people are below us? How many people who are trying to be in the stage that we are in, yet are unable to do so because of personal incapability, or other issues?
We forget to look Around Us. How many people are striving as hard as you do, and feeling the same way as you do.
Nonetheless, we cannot forget the bunch that are forever happy. It's not that they don't give a hoot about their results. Who wants to aim for a C grade? Who wants to always be at the bottom of the food chain? When I spoke to people about this, many of them can just brush off the topic about pressurising themselves. All of them replied me with the same phrase, "I have tried my best".
There is no meaning in continually competing yourself with others. Everyone is structured differently. Everyone has a different purpose in life. Everyone has different life experiences. Everyone has different motivation.
What is important, I have learnt thus far, is to continue doing my best, compare only with myself, and have no regrets.
WHO SAYS paper qualification determines who you are?

Seoul Yummy Food
Met Housheng and Gordon for a spontaneous shopping trip.
Started midday at Stateland Cafe, and their Red Velvet Waffle is really sedaaaaap!!
Headed to Bugis later to shop around. Chanced upon a few friends there and bought a 'ONE OF A KIND' Shirt. Hopefully it fits though. Didn't really get to try it.
Dinner at Seoul Yummy Food. Everytime i walked pass, the queue puts me off even though the food looked so tantalising! Finally tried it today as we had an early dinner, and it was really delicious. The 3 of us shared an Bugae Jjigae - Korean Army Stew meant for 2, but we were really full. It was worth it!
Waiting for the girls to come back, and De Xun to bring his plus 1!

Officine Panerai
Yay! Feeling real happy because i just ended my last day of work at Officine Panerai Boutique!
I did a calculation few days ago, and realised this was already my 11th part-job. Crazy?!!?
It was great working in a luxury brand, learning more about watches and concurrently sales and marketing from my colleagues as well. Too bad that i took photos only with my those colleagues on the same shift with me on my last day. Nonetheless, it was an honour to work there!

Office Politics
Office Politics. It is true that it is happening everywhere, and in every company.
It is something so scary, that it could either make or break a person. Even if you are holding a senior position, you are vulnerable to this hard fact. And more often than not, the higher you are, the greater amount of office politics you will face.
Why then do people get involved in Office Politics?
1. To get a promotion
This is the most common reason. Most of the time, this involves back-stabbing your colleagues to climb the corporate ladder.
2. Unhappiness at work
This could be the resultant of several factors, ranging from overworked, underpaid, unnecessary and illogical reprimandation etc.
3. Incapable superior
Although this may sound stupid, it is true that many workers are smarter and more capable than their superiors. Yet, these superiors are constantly making the wrong decision, jeopardizing the team's morale by making them do a double job. These superiors are also often the ones to blame their workers for a wrong, yet claims all credits when there is a right. These are the ball carriers for bosses.
4. No or limited progression
Some companies may not set a clear progression track for their workers, and they do not know which track they are eligible. Thus, these workers remain stagnant for a long period. This may also stem from their lower education level. However, these are the most experienced people you hav in a company. If the company is able to invest appropriately, these workers will likely be the best managers you have.
